I appreciate your comment and wealth of knowledge. Technorati was a good company once before, and I had no problem claiming blogs in the past, but it appears that things have changed. The assembly line (so-to-speak) is jammed up, and nobody is coming out to speak or even acknowledge that an issue really exists. I am sure that my blog will eventually be reviewed and elevated within the Technorati system, but it now has grown to become an issue much larger than that for me. Which Technorati employee forgot the importance of engaging your customers? Apparently, the great majority, especially those with the answers and power to communicate accordingly!

Thanks again for sharing your information!

technorati lie. i was told direclty from them that their claiming process has "VASTLY IMPROVED" the day they launched their updated site. this was at blogworld '09 btw with their CEO right there. anyways they're becoming irrelevant to blogging anyhow since they could care less about their community. and care only about their "top 100"'s... http://www.ephman.com has been waiting since 11/29/09 and holds out little hope.

That is not a problem - I appreciate your insight and your perspective on your similar experience! I am still remotely confident in Technorati and their capabilities, but I am still very concerned. It is one thing if a coder is having trouble figuring out the fix, but major technology companies (especially the industry leaders") know the essence of communication and engagement - that is not a new concept at all! Hopefully, they will enlighten us all very soon!

Hi Dwayne,
Great post, and thank you for the Standing Stones reference. There must be some fairly deep-rooted process or people issues at Technorati for them to have remained silent on this, especially over the last couple of days.
Let's keep in touch, and be assured that if the status changes for my blog, I will leave a comment over here to provide an update!

Mike
